Wyoming Dude Ranchers’ Association is here to answer your questions and provide you with a sample itinerary for your vacation. Start your day with a hearty breakfast, set out for an afternoon of adventures, and end the evening with fun entertainment. All of our dude ranches offer their own schedule, but here is a general overview of what to expect:
Morning
- Breakfast-Kick off your adventures with a hearty breakfast. Breakfast is served in various fashions, including continental, restaurant-style, and campfire cookouts.
- Morning Activities– After breakfast, activities at the ranch start for the day. Set out for a morning horseback ride, nature walk, or fly-fishing adventure from our Wyoming guest ranches.
Afternoon
- Lunch- After working up an appetite from morning activities, return for a delicious lunch. Expect cookouts over the campfires, all-day lunch horseback rides, and buffets with your favorite Western dishes.
- Afternoon Activities- Sign up for a wide array of afternoon activities like crafts, fishing, swimming, hiking, fly fishing, skeet shooting, naturalist hikes, and float trips. The afternoon is also a great time for lawn games like horseshoes, cornhole, or ladder ball.
- Children’s Programs- Some of our ranches offer afternoon children’s programs where our youngest guests can enjoy Western activities without adults.
Evening
- Cocktails/Happy Hour- Some of our member ranches offer cocktails or happy hour before dinner. Socialize and share your favorite adventures from the day with other guests.
- Dinner- End the day with a delicious home-cooked dinner showcasing a wide variety of Western cuisine. From three-course gourmet dinners to steak cookouts on the campfire, you can expect a wide variety of dining experiences
- Evening Entertainment: After dinner, you can look forward to entertainment like square dancing, rodeos, bonfires, live music, cowboy poetry, trivia nights, and stargazing.
