Welcome to the Lazy L&B! Our family owned and operated Wyoming Dude Ranch is the place to create memories that last a lifetime. The ranch sits in a unique setting, nestled in a lush green cottonwood river bottom and surrounded by hundreds of thousands of acres of wildlife habitat, National Forest and Indian Reservation. The terrain is diverse ranging from high desert painted plateaus to alpine country and dramatic river gorges and looks pretty much the same as when it was homesteaded in the late 1800s. Our ranch is well-known for its unsurpassed Wyoming Horseback Riding. We keep groups small and cater to all abilities. We like to spread out where the terrain allows, avoiding nose to tail riding. For those who want to trot and lope there are opportunities but we also cover a lot of ground on walking rides. The anglers in your group will be happy to know that the East Fork river runs through our property. If you want to up your odds of hooking the big one then there are several other rivers in close proximity that have excellent fishing. Our Wyoming Dude Ranch‘s western cabins and the historical lodge are rustic, clean and comfortable. Enjoy an early morning cup of coffee around the fireplace that was built when the land was originally homesteaded or head to the corrals to groom and saddle your own horse before enjoying a hearty breakfast. The Lazy L&B Ranch gives you the opportunity to truly relax and treat yourself to an unforgettable adventure.
Our cabins are clean, rustic and comfortable. Each one is a little bit different but they all have porches to lounge on, small refrigerators and comfy beds. The historic lodge has a cozy fireplace, library and game table where you can gather with friends and family. Grab an early cup of coffee, read a book, work on a puzzle or play a game. Maybe Butch Cassidy didn’t have to answer to anyone but for those who do, Wi-Fi is available.
You’ll work up an appetite riding and playing in the fresh mountain air and our professionally trained chef will satiate it. Preparing healthy, local, fresh dishes from scratch are his specialty. All meals and several happy hours are included during your stay. You’ll enjoy a range of dining experiences from cowboy breakfasts around the campfire to sit-down dinners in the lodge dining room. We make every effort to accommodate any dietary restrictions so please let us know what works for you.
We ride every day (even Sunday if you can arrive between 1:00 and 3:00), and the expanse of the region ensures that at our Wyoming Dude Ranch, you never ride the same trail twice. There’s a supervised riding program for children (6 and up) and opportunities to ride as a family as well. Whether it be grooming, tacking up or feeding the horses, you’re welcome to participate as much or as little as you like. There is great riding, but there’s so much more. The fly-fishing at the Lazy L&B and the Upper Wind River area is every bit as good as the famous waters of nearby Grand Teton and Yellowstone National parks. The East Fork River runs through the property and there are several other pristine rivers nearby. We offer basic instruction, but for those who want more, we can put you in touch with a local guide. Some of the other activities at our Dude Ranch in Wyoming include endless hiking, tubing in the river, swimming in the pool, hot tub, rifle range, petting zoo, and arrowhead/fossil hunting. Depending on the week you visit, Tuesday evening is a good time to head into the town of Dubois to shop the local stores bordering the wooden sidewalks and then join the locals for a square dance or a game of pool.
We look forward to receiving you at our award-winning Wyoming Dude Ranch!
